ExRe2025 is called ExRe Encounters, a new format moving away from our previous 1:1 mentoring to a more agile and accessible group discussion model - where 15 volunteer experts across design fiction, futures and foresight practice will open their zoom doors to anyone who wishes to engage in dialogue with them about practising futures.
Between Feb and July 2025, 15 mentors will host a total of 45 ExRe Encounters sessions, each lasting 60 minutes. All free. All online. Each Encounter has a max capacity of 6 attendees ensuring quality engagement between the group. Each participant can attend a max of 2 sessions release.
Batch 1 release date is Jan 20th - 15 Encounter sessions delivered globally across Feb and March.
Batch 2 release date in March 20th - 15 Encounter sessions delivered globally across April and May.
Batch 3 release date in May 20th - 15 Encounter sessions delivered globally across June and July.
ExRe2021 was our inaugural year, ExRe2022 and ExRe2023 followed gaining in scope, reach and ambition - to date we have hosted 3x global cohorts of mentees and mentors, over 70 people in 30 countries!

We took 2024 as a fallow year, time to calibrate and think what the future of the programme could be - how it could be more accessible and inclusive whilst still maintaining the principles of the project - to be global community of speculative futures practice, designed to build community, encourage open discourse and ultimately facilitate the transition from education into practice.
